A busy group social at a function room at CONTACT Theatre!

The idea of these socials is to bring lots of young people together and get a chance to practice being in big groups of people in a fun supportive environment. The more people we have helping out the better!

We have separate zones where young people can choose to just do their own thing - video games, basketball hoops, an art & craft table (and so on)/ But then I will lead people through group social games too - things like ‘wink murder’ or ‘werewolves’!

As a volunteer, you’ll mainly be asked to:

• Help make sure young people are engaging with activities :)

• Being on hand to go and chill with a young person if they need some away from the group

• Take part in activities and demonstrate what to do!

• Keeping an eye out for anyone struggling who may need some help

• Helping with taking people to and from different parts of the building

 

This is the largest activity we do, with 10-20 young people coming, but also (hopefully!) a lot of fun!
