Movie Night

Expected Group: 4-6 young people

This is our bi-weekly Movie Night - expect cosy vibes, popcorn!

Session Plan

• 4pm: Arrive and Set Up (set up the tables and make the space cosy - see pictures)

• 4.30pm: Young People arrive (get popcorn ready, etc)

• 4.45pm: Movie Time

• 6.45: Finish Up (tidy the room)

• 7pm: Home Time

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 1-2

Key volunteer responsibilities:

• Helping the Sessional Lead manage the space

  • This is at our GMYN offices, in our 1st Floor Media Centre

  • The Sessional Lead (Angela) may need some help setting things up - getting the tables moved from the middle of the room to the side, getting the snacks set out, water jug filled etc

  • At the end, helping to tidy up a bit as well - it’s a pretty small room so this shouldn’t take too long

• During the movie:

  • Watch the film with everyone, enjoy!

  • Keep an eye out on people - if you see people out of water maybe offer to get more, top up snacks, that kind of thing

  • We let people talk out during the film (some people can’t really help it!) but maybe try and discourage too much noise, and quietly draw people’s focus back to thefilm

  • If people need to leave for a break, chat with the Sessional Lead so one of you can go with them and the other stay with the group
