SKATEBOARDING LESSON

INCLUSIVE SKATE LESSON

Learn to skateboard at these supported lessons!

Expected Group Size: 8-10 young people

GMYN and Projekts have teamed up to bring you Slide Social - join the group this half term to learn the basics of skateboarding!

Whether you’ve never skated before and would like to learn in an inclusive and supportive environment, or just want to show off your skills - Projekts is the perfect skateboarding hub!

Who will be running the session?

Timetable

  • 3.15-4pm: Guided Lesson From Luke

    • Luke will teach everyone skateboarding as a group, giving fun new skills to try out!

  • 4-4.15pm: Free skate!

    • Explore the skate park and practice your new skills!

What Should I Bring?

  • All equipment provided, so don’t worry!

  • Water and squash provided

  • There is a cafe if you would like to bring money, or you can bring snacks, but you don’t need to

 

Access Key:

  • There is background music (not loud)

  • The space will be a little crowded

  • We will be mainly outdoors with natural light, then indoors with soft lighting

  • Activity is not wheelchair accessible (the venue is)

  • There is a separate quiet room / chill out zone

Food & Drink

  • Water and squash will be provided

  • There is a cafe serving snacks, and you can bring your own in as well

Spending Money

  • If you would like to spend your own money, there is a cafe serving snacks and drinks

  • You do not need to bring spending money
