People's History Museum

If you've ever wanted to learn more about UK history, especially how people can organise to change the world around them, this is the museum for you! This is history from the perspective of every day people who managed to band together and achieve amazing things like the weekend and minimum wage!

Expected Group Size: 6-10

  • 4-8 young people

  • 2 GMYN staff

Timetable:

  • 12pm: Meet at the venue entrance

  • 12-12.45pm: Explore the first floor - walkthrough the floor of UK history pre-1945, with Trystan acting as tour guide!

  • 12.45-1.30pm: Explore the second floor - Trystan will then guide everyone through UK history post-1945.

  • 1.30-2pm: Lunch - we will sit down to eat.

  • 2-3pm: "Fact Hunt" - Everyone will be put into groups and given a sheet of paper with questions to answer - everyone who answers them all wins a prize!

Trystan (the programme coordinator) will be there with a volunteer to support with the session.
